Discover My Studio on the 2025 Taranaki Arts Trail
From 31 October to 9 November 2025, the Taranaki Arts Trail will once again open the doors of studios across our region, inviting art lovers to connect with local creators in their working environments. I’m delighted to be part of this inspiring event, welcoming visitors into my jewellery studio in Oakura, West Taranaki.
What is the Taranaki Arts Trail?
The Arts Trail is a unique opportunity to step inside the studios of painters, sculptors, jewellers, ceramicists, and many other creatives throughout Taranaki. For ten days, artists share not just their finished work but also their processes, tools, and inspirations. It’s a behind-the-scenes experience that goes far beyond what you might see in a gallery or shop window.
Studios are open daily from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, giving visitors the chance to plan a journey across the region and meet artists face-to-face. Whether you’re a local or travelling to Taranaki, it’s an event that celebrates both creativity and community.
My Story as a Jeweller
As a full-time jeweller and goldsmith, my practice blends traditional German ‘Handwerk’ craftsmanship with modern design. Every piece I create is carefully handcrafted, whether it’s part of my jewellery collections or a commissioned work designed in collaboration with a client.
Taking part in the Arts Trail is always a highlight of my year. It allows me to share not only my finished jewellery but also the techniques, tools, and stories behind them. Visitors to my studio can expect to see the creative process up close, ask questions, and explore how a design evolves from raw material into a piece of wearable art.
What to expect
See behind the scenes of jewellery making.
View collections and bespoke designs up close.
Learn about recycling gold and other fine metals and custom design — a process many of my clients love.
Workshops and commissions by appointment are also available.
For me, jewellery is not just about adornment — it’s about connection and storytelling. Each piece carries meaning, whether it’s a bespoke engagement ring, a redesign of a family heirloom, or a necklace that carries family memories.
