There’s something magical about the hum of a beehive. As both a beekeeper and jewellery artist, my connection to bees runs deep — not just in the quiet moments tending to the hive, but in the way these incredible creatures influence my work in the studio. My bee and honeycomb jewellery designs are a celebration of nature’s precision, symbolism, and beauty- it is just beautiful architecture in miniature.

A Studio That Smells Like Beeswax

One of my greatest joys is working with my own beeswax in the casting process. The rich, warm scent of beeswax fills the studio as I prepare each piece — a tangible reminder of where the journey begins. Using lost-wax casting methods, I sculpt and shape with intention, allowing the organic patterns of the hive to guide the flow of each design.

The Queen, the Worker, and the Craft

In my collection, you'll find both queen bees and worker bees immortalised in metal — cast directly from real specimens. These detailed castings form the heart of one-off pieces and exhibition works, where storytelling and sculpture meet fine jewellery.

Each bee is a tribute to the structure of the colony: the queen as a symbol of leadership and creation, the workers representing collaboration, strength, and rhythm.

Nature’s Geometry: The Honeycomb Pattern

The architecture of the honeycomb is endlessly inspiring — not only in its strength and efficiency, but in its visual poetry. This iconic hexagonal pattern has become the signature motif for many of my wedding bands and bespoke designs.

There’s something grounding and symbolic in placing a lifelong commitment within the geometry of the hive — a structure built on connection and resilience.

Honey-Glazed with Gemstones

To bring warmth and colour into my pieces, I love setting diamonds, citrines, and sapphires into the honeycomb cells. These stones reflect the golden light of honey and the vivid wildflowers bees forage from.

Every pendant, ring, or heirloom piece becomes a vibrant echo of the hive — organic, sculptural, and completely unique.
